I am pleased to announce my upcoming photographic exhibition, “Between Sky and Clay: The Crete Senesi,” hosted at the Palazzo Corboli Museum in Asciano, Tuscany.
The exhibition is dedicated to one of the most distinctive and authentic landscapes of the Tuscan countryside: the Crete Senesi. Shaped by clay hills, winding roads, isolated farmhouses and constantly changing light, this territory has been at the heart of my photographic work for more than three decades.
Through images taken in different seasons and weather conditions, the exhibition explores the relationship between the land and the sky, between the essential forms of the landscape and the light that continually transforms them.
Alongside photographs created from the ground, the exhibition also includes several aerial images captured by drone. This more recent perspective has allowed me to rediscover the Crete Senesi from above, revealing patterns, curves and geometries that are often hidden from the human eye.
Despite being one of Tuscany’s most iconic areas, the Crete Senesi still retain a remarkably genuine character. This exhibition is my personal tribute to their beauty, silence and timeless atmosphere.
